Here at Radiant Womanhood, we are all about dreaming big and shooting for the stars, but what is it that makes those big dreams a reality? It’s the small things that we do consistently that bring about big transformations and lasting change.
As Stephen Covey says – “if you keep doing what you’re doing, you’re only going to keep getting whatever you’re getting” – so why keep waiting for the ”right moment” or the perfect opportunity to make a chance or go for your dreams?
Instead, utilize the small, every day moments of life to create habits and make small changes that keep you tracking towards your goals
In today’s episode I am exploring the power of consistency, why it is so effective in bringing around big transformations, and how you can start to be more consistent.
In this episode, I discuss:
- How consistency can often feel slow-moving but can be incredibly powerful when compounded over time. It’s about persistence not perfection, and it’s about showing up even when it feels insignificant.
- How consistency creates momentum, so that instead of having to rely on willpower or motivation alone (which may fail you from time to time!) By prioritising consistency, you can keep you showing up, even when you don’t feel like it
- How being consistent is all about keeping promises to yourself, which increases your confidence in yourself.
- The 1% rule and how by aiming to improve by just 1% each day, you’ll begin to see lasting change before you know it. The hardest part is the starting, so if you initially aim for just 1% improvement, that incremental shift will soon gather momentum, creating real progress.
- The power of tying small, consistent habits to positive emotions, making them easier to form and sustain.
- My advice for staying consistent including keeping an journal, using a device such as a watch to count my steps and track my sleep, or having an accountability partner.
